Theoretical 14 day pay period. Repeats for a year.
All hours flate rate, between 6am & 6pm.
Second week is R & R. (FIFO)
Im trying to figure out a bit of an annual leave accrual problem. Which option (if any) down the bottom would be the correct way to do it?
From the applicable award:
21.1 Ordinary hours of work
(a) The ordinary hours of work must not exceed an average of 38 per week and must be worked between 6.00 am and 6.00 pm Monday to Friday inclusive, provided that the actual hours within the spread of hours may be altered by mutual agreement between the employer and the majority of employees concerned in the establishment or section or sections concerned.

From the National Employment standards:
Annual leave is paid at the employee’s base pay rate for all ordinary hours worked. Ordinary hours under the NES cannot exceed 38 hours in a week.
From contract of employment:
The employee shall work as directed within the following spread of hours
6am to 6pm monday - friday
6am to 6pm saturday - sunday
6am to 6pm monday - friday
6am to 6pm saturday - sunday
The Employee accrues four weeks paid leave for each twelve months service. Part‐time employees are entitled to a proportion of the full‐time entitlement according to ordinary hours worked.

Contract of employment
Contract of employment spells it out, 4 weeks not an hourly equivelent. Does it say anywhere in your contract an hr conversion for days worked. Shift workers on Kwinana strip working 12hr shifts get 5 weeks anual leave.

No just says 4 weeks. The
No just says 4 weeks.
The example fortnight above is not what i do, it was just designed to exaggerate the issue I think I have.
I work 2 & 1 @ 10 hours a day average.
Hours outside of 7.6 for a day, and all weekends worked have been left out of the calculation for annual leave. That gives me with something like 110hrs leave accrued for the year, instead of the 152 that would equal the minimum 4 weeks.
