Any Turbo Tent owners??

 Hi guys,

Been looking at a new tent for a while and tossing up between the Black Wolf Turbo 300 plus and the Turbo 240 plus for a family of 4 (2 adults 2 kids under 10).

Just wondering if any of you fellas own one and what your thoughts are and if they are worth the money?? I've seen plenty of the standard sized ones setup in stores and they look of awesome quality.

My only issue is the size - I honestly can't decide whether to go bigger or smaller. At the moment I'm leaning toward the larger model as I can currently get it on special which makes it about $50 cheaper than the smaller model.

Then of course there's the weight of these things and trying to get them on roof racks .... where there's a will there's surely a way :)

Thanks for any advice guys.

Hi mate we have the turbo 300+ it's a brilliant tent, just spent 16 days at exy in it & with all the rain on the 1st week of the school holidays it stayed perfectly dry and plenty of room & sets up in minutes. I would go the 300 +I think you would regret getting the 240 with 2 kids.

Sweet mate thanks for the reply that's kinda what I wanted to hear.

Quick question - does yours go in the vehicle or on roof racks?? I have a patrol and this ain't gonna fit in the rear so will be on roof rack. Just a bit worried about getting 35kg up there in such a cumbersome bag but hoping I'll manage even with a little help.from the mrs.

Yeah I got the 300 plus too

Yeah I got the 300 plus too awsome tent plenty of room. have had it for years,it holds up in the wind extremely well and have had up to 3 adults comfortably in it for a week..  they are heavy on your own but 2 pl is a breez to chuck on a roof rack.

Get some sand pegs If camping on soft sand and 2 extra ropes  with the springs for the veranda bit. It works better in the wind

I've also got the 300 plus. We are the same as you 2 kids under 10 and a dog. Find it perfect, great to put up. Goes on my roof rack fine although a bit cumbersome. A little tricky getting it back in the bag, but I think most tents are i don't think you can go far wrong in one.

yup we got the turbo 300 and its a great tent . usually just put it on the roof rack or it goes in the boat. We use a queen blow up matress and it still leaves plenty of room for another single plus other storage

had it in coral bay over the school holidays and it held up in the wind pretty well.

Gday mate, We (4 of us - kids 7 and 9) have the Turbo Lite 240 Twin, and I wouldn't want anything smaller! We have only used it once - at Exmouth for 10 days, having gone up from a 3m x 3m canvas touring tent. I also bought the full screen room for the front to keep the engel and food enclosed. The tent rides in the boat...

We just bought the Turbo 240

We just bought the Turbo 240 plus.  Two adults and two kids, one 7, the other 10 months.  Our double air mattress fits perfectly in the rear extension section.  Kids sleep in the fron section, with stacks of room for bags and changing space.

Annexe is really good, especially with the optional side walls.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Ive decided to go with the 300 plus - it's only 4kg heavier than the 240 plus and currently cheaper. Better too much space than not enough.

Turbo 300 Plus

Sun, 2016-07-31 13:54

Hey mate we have the Turbo 300 plus its an excellent tent very easy to set up and with the extra room on it makes it great. We have three kids and just did the whole Gibb River road using it and gotta say was a lot better than using our camper as we did last time we did the Gibb.

The only thing is getting a routine to get it back in the bag but doesnt take long to get the hang of it.
