Tyrnos 30 is a great all round pelagic reel. Heaps of spool and drag capacity.

Pies related thing. Spent a day last week with Mick Malthouse and he's still dark about the whole Bucks thing. I've known Mick for many years and despite the way he talked to journos, he's a top bloke!

Shit Unc if I got rid of all
Shit Unc if I got rid of all my fishing gear that's sitting around doing nothing there would be thousands of dollars worth! Makes me shudder but I've got an Abu 6000 and a Mitchell 301 I think that are about 50 years old and still in beautiful condition.

Great gesture and offer Uncle. I wish I still had the ABU7000 I purchased almost 40 years ago, brilliant reel. It accounted for a number of sails in the 1980s in the NW. Sadly my arsehole of an ex stepson pawned most of my fishing gear while I was working away to finance his drug issues.

499s
Have a couple of 499 Mitchells and a 489 that are still being used on the same Butterworth rods I bough in the early seventies. Also had an Abu 10 000ca that went missing when brother in law lost tackle box, replaced with Abu 7000s and a 6500ca5, magic reels
