Saw lots of boats on trailers going to the northern marinas as I was heading south on Marmion early this morning and just wondering if any fishwreckers had any luck?, weather looked awesome out there! cheers Dave

I wish
I went to a job this morning which was an apartment right on Scarborough beach, started at six and all the work was on the roof so I could see right up the coast as the sun was rising. It looked sweet and it was So unfair. Could almost see the pinkies jumping out of the water on the 3 mile!

Hillarys
We went out from Hillarys.
Thought i'd take the missus, daughter (2 year old) and grandad for a trip.
Headed out about 8 mile, but it was a little bumpy. Edged out depper for an hour or 2, then the daughter got sick.
Ran back into hillarys to drop them off, then back out about 15 mile....2 dhu and a king George later and back at the ramp by 5.
It was beautiful in the arvo. Came back in doing between 30 and 40 knots....with a couple of Corona on the way.
I saw fisheries doing the rounds out there as well, they came to say hi.

out behind GI
Went out about 30klm behind Garden Island and it was tough going. the swell was up and we went to a lot of spots for no bites. Came in about 2pm when it was calming off and picked up a 560mm Dhu and a similar size pinkie on spot with some cray pots on it and that was it. As we were coming in there were quite a few guys heading out wide..

about 9am?
Yeah, that would have been me as I left home at a gentleman's hour of 9am from Waikiki and launched at Point Peron. There's not too many black boats around so she does stick out like dogs nuts lol..

Went out last night behind the north end of garden island.
Anchored up at 4:30pm in 12m of water an was sitting over a 16m drop off.
Mulies for bait and burley - caught nothing but a eagle ray.
Pulled up stumps at 7:30pm
Was a full moon too.

We went out from Two Rocks
We went out from Two Rocks yesterday afternoon. There was a bit of swell around. We had a wave break across the front of the marina entrance as we were leaving.
We fished until just after dark and got 2 Bluefin tuna, a big Flathead and a Pink Snapper.
There was LOTS of bait in the water. There weren't many birds around, but you could see big dark patches of bait moving around near the surface.

Two Rocks
Headed out from Two Rocks Early the swell and N Easter made it pretty uncomfortable on the way out.
Was a bit of a washing machine 20nm out but managed a few successful drops resulting in double header 69 and 64 cm Dhu.
Continued bottom bouncing hoping to pick up some Baldies but managed 3 more Dhu's 67 58 and a 53 all returned in good condition.
Put in an hour of trolling for tuna to no avail before heading in and out of the water around 1.30.
Conditions certainly improved throughout the day.

Solo mission in the sound.
Solo mission in the sound. Couldn't fish my usual ground as swell was up. Found some new ground. Current was sending my baits the wrong way so very hard going. One good pink mid 70s. One undersize and one I dropped after farking around trying to undo it From the anchor rope. Very nice fish too but can't complain. Be my last fish before I'm back to Europe.

Left ocean reef at 630...
Left ocean reef at 630... rough in morning so hung around the 30s, didnt flatten out until lunch and then we went to 65m line. Whales everywhere. All aboard got mildly sea sea sick, I got better after a beer and a pie. Did well on the number of fish but most undersize. 65cm Dhu, 78cm/65cm/53cm Pinkies.. cant count how many skippy we caught only kept 8. Caught at least 10 undersize 40-49cm dhus all returned amoungst other species like scorpion fish, goat fish, harleqin fish, sambos, and the biggest blow fish 70cm i have ever seen in the 40s.. Got better as the day went on. Still cant find the king george!!
Good day to have off... paternaty leaves ends on Monday - happy the missus let me go.
Cheers
