anyone seen any giant herring around?

Has anyone seen any giant herring around latley?
Me and nathan took the boat out on tuesday to target these acrobatic little fish but came up empty.
we did manage about a million flaties, a few taylor, couple of bream, few flounder and some whiting.
any advice on targeting the giant herring in the river would be greatley apreciated.

I know around the moorings
I know around the moorings at freshwater bay can hold a few. I've seen them infront of heathcote park hammering a bait school last summer, deffinately Giant Herring.
I'd focus your efforts around the downstream areas around structure or bait schools

I got my first couple this year on a berkely sub dog purple black little bit of orange on the chin just a slow roll and they were jumpin over one another to get it this was up the murchison kalbbari great fish my new favourite to chase in the river
