App/ improvements

Hi all,
im sure everyone's enjoying and learning a lot through the fishwrecked website but I was wondering has there been any discussion on maybe developing an app which could greatly make things easy and taking part in discussions on the go would become much easier. Perhaps adding photos etc direct from your phone gallery and other such features. I would like to see this happen for fishwrecked and I think it would make it an even better forum.
what would you guys like to see improve or be added?
What are your thoughts regarding an app for fishwrecked?
for myself an app would make it much easier than having to use the google or safari browser whilst on the go.
Thanks

LOL
this would have to be about the 425th time this has been suggested.
Too expensive to set up has been the consensus.

I'm not sure how far back
I'm not sure how far back this was discussed but to get an app going is not expensive these days.
it wouldn't change anything that's current and members that would like it to stay as is, can continue as usuall without it affecting their web experience.

Whats so hard about using the
Whats so hard about using the site on mobile internet? Ive used the site on my mobile for years and upload most of my reports and photos with the mobile. I bet you have an iphone, it always seems to be the apple users that bring it up. Runs just fine on my Galaxy s3 and past Galaxy models. When I click upload photo it opens up my gellery right away, and can watch most videos on the site as I know that was an issue with the iphone users previously.

if not an app
If not an app , then a mobile specific version of the site would be awesome. Much easier to view and read posts etc. I am constantly turning my phone sideways, then back upright, and zooming all over the place to read clearly.
But yeah, probably expensive to setup. And the current site works. Would just be easier to use as a mobile site.

Couldn't agree more Pembo6!
I'm using a galaxy s3 and it shits me zooming in out and scrolling all over the joint to read a post.
Once the ban is over and winds drop my rant will stop haha

I've had both the android
I've had both the android and the iphone and both are similar and to me it doesn't really make a diffrence becuz the actuall browsers are optimised for pcs
what the app or the mobile version web page provides can't be compared to the browsers optimised for pcs.
pembo that's an excellent idea specially if the app option seems expensive.
I think if members were to try a mobile optimised web and also use the normal version of the same site you'll notice the difference it makes.
