G day mate I was down there
G day mate I was down there over Christmas up to New Year's Day plenty of crabs about but it's a struggle to get a size one we caught over 100 crabs only bagging a dozen legal ones for the week. Best advice is try find the deep water down river just outside of west bay near the channel markers just before the old yatch club. Make sure u used bait baskets as the rays are a pain. I spoke to a local and he was saying they we're having good catches two weeks before Xmas but they had a big rain which washed them all out of the river. If you want some fun on light gear try trolling little twisty lures out the front of the old yatch club plenty of chopper tailor and a few sized amongst them the are most productive around sun down but great fun on light gear. Good luck mate I hope you get a feed.

Hey Lockie, We tried a bit
Hey Lockie,
We tried a bit further upstream with no luck, the water was very shallow, ray's aplenty.
Will try this spot next time we are down though, thanks.
Keen on a fit of trawling too.
Any real winners when it comes to lures?
I disagree.

Hey Frank, "The Sticks"? We
Hey Frank,
"The Sticks"?
We had some luck with some KG, whiting and herring near the channel markers, Hardy Inlet.
Would love a few different spots, maybe further downstream.
Thanks
I disagree.
