Augusta fishing

Gents,
Heading down south to Augusta over the easter break with the inlaws.
Really keen to get the line wet as I am down there for almost a week.
No Boat so all land based.
If anyone knows the area, or has a few tips of what's biting and where that would be great.
Was going to try my luck of the new marina rock wall, and head around near the lighthouse for a flick.
Hamlin bay is not out the question if suggested, and neither is some bream in molloy (tried without much luck 6 months ago)
Any tips/advice would be muchly appreciated.

Just in front of the deli
near the mouth of the river is pretty good for B&B species such as whiting. Not huge but pretty easy to get a nice feed. Best baits are prawn and squid. Also add a red bead to the line above the hook as this increase bite rates.
Havent tried this at Augusta but red Gulp works cut into smaller pieces has a great catch rate in Shark bay and also down here in Mandurah, so cant see why that wouldn't work, and it last bite after bite. Prawns last one bite if you are lucky, squid a little better but still the ravenous hordes make light work off this.
Cosy Corner off the rocks just north of the beach (G earth this) also good for herring, gardies and good skippy. Berley up heavy and they will come.

Spots
if your keen on a walk:
River mouth has some good holes and gutters
If the swell is small walk in to back beach from most northern car park (I think it's skippy rock)
once again if swell is small the rock platforms on the western side have some xos ytk and sambos
I imagine the marina would have KGW in the weed patches and chance of snapper etc

Salmon
Are at Hamelin Bay with a few resident fish showing further up the coast. Have a look at Cost Corner.. north of the light house or Deep Dene but have a good look at your fishing locations.. these locations can be fraught with danger particularly during decent swell. Keep of the black slime on the rocks. . Wet or dry.

North of the lighthouse? There are a few tracks leading to a couple of carparks up above some rocks... wouldn't be there would it?

Been awhile since last down there. Google Deep Dene would be a better bet than my dodgy directions. Bob's Hollow also well with a fish... all of these locations will depend on swell size and weed for night fishing the beaches. Take some heavy gear and wire trace as well... Noahs. Try a live herring if the salmon are moving as reported the Apex predators will be following. Take Richter plugs for salmon they're not fancy on the eye but damn effective on the salmon when they're in the mood.
