Australian bass caught in a perth lake

Hey got this guy in a local perth lake few weeks back and thought it was a bass im not sure so hoping 4 some help?? Also was wonding how common it is to find silver perch bass carp ect in perth lakes, ponds ect??

my mate had silver perch in a pond on his farm
they go hard on 2kg line and a slow action rod

ive been wondering for a
ive been wondering for a while if there are any decent fish in the lakes in the metro area.
although from my search none of this fishing is legal. boo.
