awesome breamski sesh

needed....... Wanted a new bream reel, so I bought a Ci4 2500 yesterday, spooled it with bass extreme hard pe braid and went down to the river in the afternoon to christen it!!

decided to fish a new spot where I have never fished before. it was awesome. had six casts there, so we didn't over fish it, so ther are plenty of fish there for when I go there in a tournament!!

in six casts,my mate and I, we pulled 4, 40cm+ bream and I got 1 bust off !!!!! we then decided to leave it alone and fish our usual prime spot.

this produced, we caught flathead, bream, tawine, juvinile pinkies, skippy, etc.

It was so good we decided to come down again this morning to see if our spot was a one off occasion, I picked up another 40+ and we got 2-3, 30cm fish.

then moved to another new spot which we wanted to try, where I pulled ANOTHER 40cm + fish.

I am very impressed with my new CI4 which landed 5, 40cm+ bream in its first 2 uses!!

all fish caught on Damiki SPs, MCarthy** SPs and live crabs.

ALL FISH RELEASED

sorry, not many photos and not the best photosbecause am using most of them and the good ones in a article also no photos of the bigger ones (using for article)

cheers, tom

Excellent work Old Mate. Its not the species that you catch that makes you a good fisherman, its the ability to recognise the differences in the environment to capitilise on your effort. You definately seem to have done that with Metro Bream.

Good Stuff.

some clubs have..

exclusion zones that apply on land and water. Im not 100 percent, but i think royal fresh water bay actually owns the water. Compared to sydney though we are doing well. So much of there harbour shore line is locked up, private no enrty

The royal freshwater bay

Mon, 2011-02-21 09:57

The royal freshwater bay website states no fishing from jettys or wharves so I guess kayak fishing is allowed.

Great captures by the way AB, makes me want to do a midnight run down there to hide from security and tackle a monster blackie. Went down to the public jetty down there but it was heavily crowded and the ave size bream much smaller then those beasts. Well done.
