Gold Mine..
Hi all, thought I'd better fill ya's in on my latest placcy adventure....
I have been studyin my local charts off late looking for new ground (while the wind does it's thing) and I don't really like hitting the same ground too often anyway.
I marked a spot 20 odd mile out that looked promising on the charts 50m rising up to 33m so I decided to head out yesterday to fish a 2 hr window in the wind....
First drop resulted in this 3kg Trout...
Next drop my mate Mak (fishncrazy) nailed this 62cm Pinky...
Next fish for me was this 7kg Dhu which drilled the placcy half way down on the drop...
Another veiw of the placcy munchin Dhu...
Couple more twitches later and bang a nice 72cm Coral Trout....
Then to round out the day Mak lands this Honker Pink 83cm 6kg his PB and my boat PB too...
Nice shot of the Pinky...
So another succesful day out on the water fishing my new spot we named Gold Mine...
Cheers for the read guys..

Looks like it was all over pretty quickly. Some great quality there.
Does anyone know where the love of god goes, when the waves turn the minutes to hours?

If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

Interesting you changed plastics from your first drift to your 3rd? do you usually switch around the plastics that frequently?

Cheers all..
Cheers for your comments fellas...
It was a awesome 2 hr session at the "gold mine" before we could even get a placcy in the water we had 2 x 3 - 4m Sharks circling the boat it was great to see, the 4m was a Tiger and the other a 3 m Bronzie by the looks. I ended up losing a monster Pinky on PE 3 to the Tiger...... Bastard..
It was constant action the entire time we were there with straightened hooks and smokings every drift..
And yep spot on Nelly plenty of Dhu's in close up here but to find the good size Pinky's we head out a little further to the banks to find the bigger models.
Bodie - I always mix up my plastics I hardly ever run the same plastic twice unless it's braining the fish no end, I also do a bit of product testing and reviews so I use a few different brands and what not from time to time.
Cheers Guys
