Bait board problem
Hi everyone. I have bought an ocean south large bait board which is designed to fit into the rod holders at the back above the motor. My rod holders are on an angle learning a bit away from the boat like they usually are. As a result, the bait board isn't flat but is also leaning away from the boat. Am I making some sort of horrific newby mistake here? Or do I actually need to swap out my rod holders for the type that go straight down?
Thanks in advance

yes swap out for straight type
if the baitboard is not the type that you can mount rods onto for trolling just use the cheap $5 plastic straight rod holders when you swap out your original angled ones, thats what i did and heaps strong enough for baitboard mounting, no need for the expensive stainless straight type unless you gonna use them for trolling when not bait fishing

Better off spending a bit
Better off spending a bit more and get the stainless ones. Plastic ones just don't hold up. With the constant bounce and vibrations the plastic ones will give out after a while.
