Yellow fin Tuna ta Coode street jetty.
Dont laugh, this is very very feasible. Theres plenty of stuff caught that no one heres about.
If theres juvenile pink snapper then juvenile Baldies are really feasible.
i've seen 2 baby baldies whilst diving on the inside of north mole, so i beleive it.
i've also caught red throat emperor out from mindarie before.
few years ago a young kid spotted a spaniard at e shed markets in the river.
there is an old picture of a small marlin strung up next to a cheynes beach chalkboard, at the caravan park at cheynes beach, which is EAST of ALBANY! not sure how ligit though...
i was divin the mindarie rockwall a few years ago for crays. i had already grabbed a few, and went for another one in the rocks when i felt something sharp come through my glove. i winced, but was in cray mode, so i tuffed it out. had a quick glance and thought it looked ok for size and chucked it in my bag.didnt actually realise until i was checkin my catch after the dive - low and behold my first southern cray.
Scotto- There is a pic of a huge Marlin in Bremer Bay shop, but it was washed ashore, must have been on a longline. Im not sure but may be the same one pictured at Cheynes
this one looked fresh (although it is an old picture prob early to mid 80's), and its on a gantry but with a cheynes beach chalkboard, probably from the old great white fishing days.
i also remember another weird capture.....
anyone remember that huge queensland groper caught at north mole about 10 years ago???
I was down at Augusta a few weeks ago, and on the picture board at the Molloy Caravan Park are a couple of pictures of Mudcrabs caught in the Blackwood River. The water gets pretty bloody cold upriver and I would have throught that it would have been well out of the muddies range.

Tis true about the Baldie in the Swan.
A mate of mine got it on Saturday ibn a rather deep hole.
Healthy looking fish. He also got a Wrasse in the same spot on the same day.

I've heard of a really big one washing up on the beaches near albany. Though perhaps it went too far south and died from the cold... :P

Whilst diving in cockburn sound 3 weeks ago i come face to face with three 5-8kg golden trevally. They circled me then headed off. They looked heathy.
Another unusual sighting was a large leather back turtle whilst heading throught the sound
