Baron sportsman hull extension

Hello boys the old aq120 finally threw a valve after 38 years. I have come to the conclusion to rip out the inboard/leg and go a full width transom hull extension. My question to you all is what plus and minus will it have on performance.

just remember what ever you do you need to retain the weight you did have. many extensions effects the true performance of the origanal hull as not enough counter balace has been added and the boat becomes to boyant either foward or aft. My advise is follow the hull (not just a pod) as it will handle better and add more space

Second that I have a Baron Sportsman Outrider which a full hull extension.
Rides much better than a standard Baron in my opinion.

Has 140 Suzuki fourstroke on the back.

fibreglass boats at $2800.00 seems pretty reasonable to me. The pods look good on his add but dont seem to fully extend the hull im guessing he would be able to though, thats what i'd be doing, just type in "pod" in the gumtree search function under boat section and see them

Thanks for your input felles I'm on a budget for the next year. I picked up a Another inboard for free Volvo penta 250a it runs but yes there's a but it doesn't have the exhaust manifold. I'll try and chase one down while I save the 15-20k for the outboard .
