Beach Fishing

Planning on doing some beach fishing on my days off, probably around Secret Harbour - Mandurah way, just wondering is dawn/dusk time better than whats the tides are doing? If there a preferred scenario i.e rising tide in the evening etc??

A rising tide at dawn or dusk is always a good bet in my books
Personally I prefer an early morning fishing session, but both times will produce good fishing.
This site will give you tide times

Where have you been Fozz?
Mate down around mandurah I can certainly help.
If you can and have a 4x4 do yourself a favour and go to Tims but especially White Hills. Look for a gutter. Have a beach set rod out apart from the mornings and evenings when you are better to try for Tailor with a mulie or a slice. With another rod fish in close to get some whiting to use as food, or better still bait.
Hope you have fun.
I always park infront of Sarich's house on White Hills to interupt their view. LOL. Seriously though there is usually a great gutter there.
In the day a berley blob with a meter leader and a Crazy Charlie fly (or anything for that matter) will get you heaps of Herring. Burley the key.
Cheers mate. Hope you are having fun in the cold south.

Hi Neels
Thanks for the tip Neels & Col, got a 4 x 4 so will head that bit further south, been freezing the "ol jatz crackers" off down here. Dead keen to for a nights beach fishing but the temp is off putting. You working tomorrow? I'm in K-town for the day if you've got time for latte? PM me.

im going fishing in
im going fishing in longpoint, about 10 mins from rockingham if u wonna join tonite :) fingers crossed should be a good fish, ive had 2 snapped lines there off what i think was big shark, magaed to snap my 50lb braid while running lol, the clutch wasnt on full but there was a fair bit of drag, i was using a pen bait runner reel, so yeah im guessing theres some big shark or maybe snapper? around that area in the last 2-3 weeks :D
see if i can pul one in tonite and hopefully play it a bit more to not get another snap!

Your better off fishing the
Your better off fishing the high tides but dusk and dawn still fish well regardless of tides but a high tide around sunrise or sunset usually results in some quality fish

I cant be bothered waiting
I cant be bothered waiting like a month or more just for 1 or 2 good days fish waiting for the perfect tide time of day and moon to all collide together :/ would rather make the most out of it and just fish regardless, providing the weather is ok and not too much wind :D full moon was like 2 days ago i think, so might help with the moon as it is for fishing :P
i dont have massive amounts of exsperience, but depends what ya fishing for, im fiding i get better catches or more bites when the tides rolling in up untill it peaks! :D
