Beach fishing suggestions between Mandurah and Rockingham
Submitted by Colin Hay on Sat, 2009-12-19 10:30
A couple of northerners are thinking of going for an all night beach fishing session in the area between Rockingham and Mandurah. Does anyone have any suggestions of where might be worth trying - or is there any news of any of the places in that area producing good fish at the moment?
Many thanks for any help, Colin Hay

golden bay
went down and did an overnighter down whitehills last saturday... like roddo caught nothing substantial just a feed of herring and whiting. No tailor but did see a 70cm mulloway get caught on sunset. a few guys also caught a few sharks at night closer to preston.
golden bay would be my bet. I've caught plenty of fish there this time of year. excellent spot if your happy tackling a few soapies. oh and you cant leave without trying a get stuffed burger from the local fish and chip store there.
good luck down mandurah anyway colin

Thanks for the info guys
We tried Madorah Bay and Dawsville Cut, and despite fishing all through the night we caught nothing substantial. I saw what looked like a school of bait fish in the breakers at Madorah Bay which got Sherbs and I a bit excited, only to find out that it was school of big, flat blowies. That was most disturbing.
