Fri, 2012-04-13 06:33

+ 1for Bluewater Morley. Shop religiously at that store. All the staff there are great. The bloke your talking about would be Pete I think.

As for the dig at left handed reels, my father taught me to hold the rod in your strongest arm and wind with the non preferred. Sure must be a lot of left handed fishos about :)

the differences, 5 less

Fri, 2012-04-13 01:33

the differences, 5 less bearings that have no conceivable effect on smoothness, a cheaper handle knob, a two pieces bail wire (one piece on Saltiga), a plastic rear shield (stainless steel on Saltiga), and lack of cosmetic carbon fibre on the spool and sides of the body. I also believe the catalina has the same gearing as the saltiga. in my opinion the only reason you'd buy the saltiga is for the wank factor. this is based on my research.

You would pay for a saltiga

Sat, 2012-04-14 15:02

You would pay for a saltiga to know beyond any reasonable doubt that you have the best. You can put any value you want on the best.

 Thinking of getting a 4000

Sat, 2012-04-14 17:02

Thinking of getting a 4000 aye they look awsome better than the saltiga i reckon , there should be a bit more of a price difference between the saltiga though , its a bit like the stella sw and twinpower sw .
