Best tailor lures off busso jetty?

Hey guys I'm heading to busso again soon targeting tailor. What's the best lure or lures for the jetty apart from the obvious like richters and twistys. Looking at trying something different! Ill have mulies aswell but never caught a tailor on lure so any info is good info!

Im not sure of the weight, feels about the same as a smilin jack, I can ping em out a good distance. For something that really can get out there look at the SeaIron lures those things fly through the air like there is no tomorrow.

Ah ok, they are only new came

Thu, 2013-06-06 20:43

Ah ok, they are only new came in about a week ago not on the web site yet. Kato ( brand ) Karnage (lure name) Master Minnow FL 115 ( lure type ) colour Green Machine is the go. I think they sell for $14.95. Hope that makes sense :P

I have been hammering these like mad since they came in tried 4 different colours found the green is irresistable to the tailor even at night. I found the other colours work also but the green just drives them mad.

Awesome combo!

Mon, 2013-06-10 07:04

That's a sweet setup man. I'm using an accord 2500 with 10lb main slim burry knot to 25lb rovex 10x straight onto the lure. Looking at getting the Wilson pelagic and pair it up with a freams 4000. If only my damn snakes would sell! Ahah

Yeah that wilson is a sweet sweet rod, can cast out 85g.

Spend the extra $100 and get a Stradic you wouldn't regret it.

I was originally going to go Stradic but I like the line capacity of the freams compared to the Stradic. IMO although it might be "weaker" the line capacity makes it more versitile but that's just me. When I get my money together ill explore more options though.

The freams could be better

Mon, 2013-06-10 14:48

The freams could be better for the price IMO considering the Shimano Symetre is cheaper and smoother.

Bomber lure in green, one of the best  and oldest tailor lures on the market. Use my GF220 and Okuma V System reel and 8kg line. Works a treat.

Cheers
