Personally never been north
Personally never been north that early mate , been June thru to sept, every week in between over the last decade and the best time we have found is late July thru to late August . Good luck tho anytime up north fishing is better than workin

We used to always head north in any month without an R in it.

Full moon 19th
i always tried to avoid that full moon week as the fishing really quiets down
you will have a week before the full but I’d bring it forward a week if you can and get there on the new moon about 5th if you can
That’s for the macs n Pelagics tho. Not to say you won’t get macs on the full moon they just bite later in the day and night
Failing that it’s just a great place to be. I have heard that yore from Dale before too

Coral bay
hello Faulkner family. I have fished every month in Coral Bay apart from November. The best I ever experienced was late April so only 2 weeks from what your doing so I would stick with that date good luck we found Red Emps where prolific onlong the 70 m line

April/May are considered best months for Exmouth?
Or even late March, so i can't see why Coral Bay would be any different. Water is still warm, pelagics are better, and you get more glass-offs, missing the persistent easterlies and the top ends of the cold fronts which push through June/July/August. My ambition for Ningaloo is to get up there in May/early June, as we so often seem to get cold dirty water just after we arrive at the very beginning of July, and the fishing suffers.

I agree with Ranmar, May
I agree with Ranmar, May should be good. Weather has been kind to us that time of the year and the water is still warm so good variety of fish around. As previously said the fishing can slow around full moon but we have had some excellent fishing around moonrise and moonset when it coincides with sunrise sunset if the weather has been stable.

The best time to be in coral bay is about now like we are by the looks of that cold front hitting the south!!

No good at Coral bay during that blow.
It extended all the way up to Port Hedland, was freezing cold and blowing hard in Tom Price yesterday morning, some showers at Paraburdoo. How'd you end up at Boat harbour, where's the trip report?

I just went at the end of May
I just went at the end of May and early June for 3 weeks and it wasn't the greatest weather. I would go April/May. Im going very end of April next year but tagging along with my cousin so it will be school holidays/Easter weekend i think. some kind of holiday anyway. i might drive up myself and spend longer though as long as the school holidays have ended.
