by the way does anyone know what type of whaler this is it had a very rounded snout and a massive dorsal fin and big pec fins for its size?

Top stuff Ryan and excellent pics. How far out were you. We fished in 35m and could only manage a couple of Breaksea and a shark bust off. Spewin.

 a couple of nice fish there. not too sure on the shark , all i can say it isnt a bronzie, the dorsal fin is too big. nice captuer tho

 id say its a thick skin whaler .. the only real way to tell is by running your hand down its flank .. if it rough going from head to tail its a thick skin .. if its smooth its a bronzie

Gotta be happy with a mixed bag of dhuie and mack.  It's amazing how many Mackies have been caught down here this year.  Well done.  What tasted better - Dhuie fillets or Mack steaks?

i didn"t weigh either fish but themack was super thick for its size though!he must have been eating all that bait for months!!we fished in 40+m for the dhus and baldies then in 30"s for the king george and the mack and tuna were caught trolling around the gemini.   cheers
