Is this a big one ?

Went off bunno today and my mate got a 590mm nanny. Hardly seen them before so wondering how big do they get ?

590 is a big nanny. Wouldn’t see too many bigger than that. We used to buy a fish or 2 from the nannygai Pro down Busselton and I don’t think I ever saw one that big. One of the best fish on the plate for mine, so enjoy that one.

 that’s getting up there.

Seen a couple around 630 out deep but that’s a good one for in close with Dhuies.

Yes thats a big one, I have caught them up to 63cm deep dropping, from memory they don't come much bigger than about 65cm

Sure it's not the bight

Sure it's not the bight redfish which is a pretty close rello of the nanny?  I can't quite tell in the pic but it looks like it's got the white lateral line down the side which I think would mean it's not a nanny.

Nanny is a very generic name.

 Yep, a nice sized one.

Definitely a Bight Redfish, not a Nannygai.
