Owner of the dam recons its about 7 yrs old, he catches them on Celtas. Silver Perch have very small mouths so you generally need to use smallish lures to catch them. Yeah, Silvers grow way biggger than Reddies and also fight much harder when there over 1kg. Biggest Redfin I have ever seen was 2.2kg that a mate caught from the Warren River, this farm dam reguarly produces 4 - 5kg Silver Perch.

I knew of a few people who stockd dams with Silvers in the early 90s, the thought was they would adapt well and grow bigger than Reddies.
Looks like they were right, that is in great nick. Must be plenty of food in that dam!
