A Big thanks to Dinghy world and HONDA
As a few people were aware i had some issues with my engine the 2nd last day in Exmouth.
Came back and sussed a few things out and realised it might have been a gearbox issue, so after speaking to the guys from men on boats with some advice and help, we worked out that the engine was still under warranty as they changed the warranty over from 3 to 5 years 6 months before this particular engine was purchased.
Phew what a relief..............so put onto John at Dinghy world and recieved top service, every promised phone call was made, all the follow up calls etc and time frames were kept.
Once we sussed out a tooth on the forward gear they were in immediate contact with honda who said yeah no issues we will fix it, but instead or repairing the gears etc just replaced the whole gear box with a BRAND NEW one, and upgraded from the original one in the boat.
No issues at all and 110% satisfied with Dinghy World and especially Honda for coming to the party big time with this.
Was apparently around 7 grand worth or repair done on the engine.
So if anyone was thinking about a new engine, they have a great warranty and aftercare.
Personally when im in the market for another engine i will be buying Honda again.

relief
I bet that was a big relief mate! It realy is great when a company does the right thing by its clients because there are lot of companies out there that try to shift the blame! Plus now the 7 grand u saved on the boat can be used to buy more fishing bling haha.
