Bill Fish

Were looking at going on a road trip to catch marlin and sail fish.

My crew wont to go to Kalbarri and trouling along the cliffs and wider targeting these great fighting fish

My question to you all is this a good place to catch them as i have never been fishing at Kalbarri and has anybody targeted them there?

I can expect you all to say go another 6hours north and your in the hart of it.

I suppose its just that little bit closer to Perth to drag a boat for a 3 to 4 day road trip

Any feed back would be greatly appreciated

Not heard of Kalbarri

Not heard of Kalbarri producing Billfish in any numbers.

The extra 6 hours drive or so will be forgotten when it all comes together.

You do get them in kalbarri, But not very common, but you have to trek 50-80nm to the 100's to get them. Guys target them in the kalbarri classic on BIG boats. You wont get them along the cliffs.

Very few and far between in

Very few and far between in Kalbarri. And as mentioned a long way north which is bloody treacherous country if boat trouble happens or the wind swings to the south which is likely. Another altenative is the Abrolohos Islands - some monster Blue marlin out there plus a plethora of other game fish. But Exxy is the easiest and most accessable billfishery in Oz if not the world - and its only another 6 hours
