Boat back on the water

Well after more than a year on the hardstand My main fishing boat is back on the water.

When i say My boat, i dont own the boat but the guy who does is living overseas and i have the keys..

Had a complete respray from top to bottom with new clears installed on the flybridge and sides. New covers for the front windows, rebuild on the anchor whinch, and a shit load of smaller stuff done.

Not quite finished off yet but with a day or two's work it will be ready to head out. Need to get the numbers on the side also.

Boat respray finished

You've got the keys, but....

do you have the wallet and cash to go with it? It must consume a fair bit of fuel each time it heads out or is he also paying you to keep it in running order?

I have always said the best boat to go out on is someone elses boat. Sling them $50-60 and help clean up then walk away.

Rules for use of this boat are Do regular minor maintenance, keep it clean and fix anything that breaks when in use. I have put thousands into it over the last couple of years but was made redundant at the begining of the year.  Fixing things that could potentially break would not be an option for me now. Also a trip out with running around and then back runs to about $300 in fuel. Usually we go out for the night to make it worth while and now i'm broke it wont be going unless we have a full boat, 6ppl, to make it economical enough. Fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong.

Still a night out with a bunch of like minded fisherman, a couple of beers for those not on watch, usually fresh fish cooked up for dinner and a bed to lay down in when you just cant fish anymore is bloody hard to beat.

If there happens to be a spot or two available i might be putting up a deckies wanted post on here... Especially if your name is Gilly and you can put us onto some fresh ground off Two Rocks..Lol
