it can be tricky around that area at night , guessing they were going for a night dive , unless you have a bloody good spotty and know the area well , it is very easy to come unstuck around there , only young blokes , up in the pilbara living life as you should , my heart goes out to the family's of these two young blokes

South of Mawby, nasty
South of Mawby, nasty conditions in there in the wrong times. Not a good news story. I can only assume some nasty weather moved over in the night causing the boat to overturn? Not the first boat to have it happen out there, I can remember the sickening feeling hearing about a overturned boat just west of this spot during one of the fishing comps while we pooled out in 40 knot winds to the ships.
Condolences to the families involved.
