Dhus are the only ones that have a boat limit. 3 people on board can have 6 fish which includes 2 dhuies. 4 people can have 8 fish including 2 dhuies and so on. If no dhuies on board it is 2 demersal fish per licenced fisher on board

Yep

.. not sure why half my message disappeared before?

Each licence ends up landing 2 fish each though.

Its super rare when one person's licence lands 3 fish and has to throw it back even though another licence on board has only 1 fish. Am I right?

Technically

Technically you are correct, but it would be up to fisheries to prove who caught the fish.

There is a proposal being pushed now to allow the sharing of a catch between licensed fishers , this makes a lot of sense especially with other bag limits besides demersals.  ie  a couple fishers catching Herring and Gardies placing them into one esky would not have to prove how many of each was caught by the individual anglers .

Sorry this may seem like a stupid question but.

Say we have 2 licenced fishers on board we have baged out on demersel. Decided to fish for palagics they are 4 per person or 3 so then we could have 4 bottom fish and 8 top fish?
