Boat Polish

wondering what you guys with glass boats use as polish and what you have found is good and crap

I polished one side of my Fury this morning with 3m Restorer and wax, and whilst it looks a little better it is patchy, and not the 'left un buffed polish on there' more like parts of it have come up shiny and small parts have come up like its got mist spray spots on it?

Whats everyones preferred Polish?

Oxidisation

Tue, 2015-10-20 11:05

Is the hull oxidised? As in it went a bit chalky?

If so, using the 3m restorer and wax is a good first step. It could use a second go if it was pretty oxidised. What sort of application method are you using? Double action, rotary, hand? You need to work in small areas at a time and wipe clean with a microfibre cloth. Wash the surface after this before the next step.

I like to use the meguiars ultimate compound and a cutting pad (foam) for the first cut as compound isn't as abrasive. After that polish with meguiars ultimate or similar using a polishing pad and then hand wax it to protect the polish with a carnuba wax.

I used Dulon on mine mate

I used Dulon on mine mate and was very happy with it. It is a multi stage process but as above, did it in small chunks and wasnt too bad really. Did one side on one day and did the other the next.

Cheers
