i got sick off those
i put a normal car stereo in and it has never failed yetcd player still rocks hard and the ali boat hits hard. for the price you pay its insane. ive had mine in for six years now getting old but still thumps. people say car stereos are bad for your boat but if its kept dry and good quality its no worse than sitting in a 4wd. and the ipod hook up works a treat

Sony has a Marine range that is pretty decent. Had one on the old boat with the remote commander and it worked like a charm.

yep thats typical gme and the fusion is not much better
ive ordered the sony
in my boat the radio is exposed to the elements so i think a car radio will cause probs in the short term

Boat radio options
I would seriously look at the new Fusion 600 series, its waterproof from the front and back. and have been doing the marine stereos longer than Sony.
