Boat Storage solutions
Submitted by trymyluck on Mon, 2013-06-24 07:59
Hi all, the time has finally arrived for me to get a boat again but I cant store it at home, no room., for a year or so until a new house is built. Does anyone have any solutions for me. I currently live just north of the city, and would prefer somewhere reasonably close to here. Maybe someone has a family member who could do with the extra cash whilst providing me with a safe place to store a boat. It would probably be around 5m , not purchased yet. Cheers for any ideas

Boatsunlimited
Try calling Karl from Boatsunlimited. I believe he leases space at his yard in Wangarra.
I did then the best that I knew how. When I knew better, I did better.

I stored my boat at Kangaroo
I stored my boat at Kangaroo Storage in Osborne Park (East of Fwy) for about 12 months last year. Basic hardstand storage - fair few other boats in there.
They were very reasonably priced compared to other storage facilities. Only issue is that being a storage facility which isn't specifically designed for boat storage, there is no wash-down etc.
Fairly easy to get in and out of and we did so on a fairly regular basis.

^ yeah I checked out the kangaroo storage place above and it seems they only open office hours and not weekends. Not really ideal for my needs but might be ok.

From memory, Kangaroo Storage
From memory, Kangaroo Storage is open between 6:30 am and 7:30pm 7 days a week.
If we ever wanted to shoot out super early we'd always grab the boat the night before and keep it in the driveway at home. Doesn't suit everyone of course.

mate if you were south side I would have said bring it around as I live on 3 secured acres where my boat cannot be seen from the road and is behind locked gates with 3 giant dogs always watching guard and under surveilance cameras
