I believe they will not pass
I believe they will not pass elec drums on a boat trailer, as they wont last more than a couple of weeks?

I would be going disc brakes all the way
If the budget permits I would definitely be going disc brakes.
not only are they less prone to locking up but also the salt water can drain out far better and hence they last a fair bit longer.
stainless callipers, galvanised rotors and stainless calliper bolts are advisable.
the hydrolic pump itself will set you back about $1000 alone, but once installed will last 6-8 years.
when you are towing weight as much as 2 tonne plus, the last thing you want is to be second guessing your braking capacity.

,
Yeah I thought that but they use them a bit in off road campers an the like they go through water ect thought mayb if u disconnected power at the ramp it stop elctolsis ect but fair point hav keep looking , personally I'd like have tandem mech brakes less to go wrong with a breakaway system

Honestly you will regret
Honestly you will regret drums very quickly. Offroad campers dont go in saltwater. The drums will trap water within months, and theyneed adjusting so justa royal pain.
Disconnecting power at the ramp is probably the place you willneed the brakes so not wise.
You cannot use mechanical brakes over 2 tonne. They need to be breakaway brakes.
It's expensive, ive been down road of rebuilding running gear because the dodgy first owner had drum brakes!

If you need a whole new set
If you need a whole new set up and need a controller and pump these are worth looking into. I have been running one for a few years now with no issues. Plenty of othere trailer issues but this has been good. Remote control is also handy for swapping cars and not having to get a in car brake controller fitted.

I have disc and calipers,
I have disc and calipers, and only need to rebuild the calipers every few years at a cost of $100 each. Would get longer if I was more diligent on the wash down hose. Salt water gets trapped in the piston.
i use an Alko pump that is now 14 years old and working fine.
I wouldnt touch drums with a barge pole.

i just fitted a complete new system
to a mates 3t trailer that only had mech brakes on 1 axle .was around $2000 all up for the actuator the brake away controller and all the dacromet disks and galv calipers took a day to fit it all not hard if you have all the right parts and tools
