Bottom Bouncing Rod

I'm looking for a new bottom bouncing rod for a 10,000 saragosa (50lb braid) primarily for bottom bouncing.

What should I be looking at? I'm thinking you can get some decent rods for this purpose at a reasonable price.

I use a Monster Mesh 5-6PE running the same reel as you have, awesome rod and my local TW has them for $150.

Mate of mine runs his 10000 Gosa on a terez and raves about it too.

Recent terez buyer/user

I got the Extra Heavy (40-100lb) Terez recently (coupled up with a Daiwa BG6500) running 50lb and I am very impressed.
I got to give it a good test at the Monties doing some slow jigging and hooked up to quite a few beasts.

The tip is still sensitive enough for small fish, but when loaded up, it goes very well.

My model at 2m (6 foot 9 inches), some may find a bit long for regular bottom bouncing ... so, I'd also be tempted by a shorter jigging style rod that others have mentioned.

But the beauty of the longer rod is sensitivity at the end but also so much power when needed

perfect for both I reckon

+1. If I was only allowed to take one rod on a trip somewhere, to do bottom bouncing plus other types of fishing, the Terez would now be my goto (out of some 20+ rods).

If you are just bottom bouncing, the shorter rods (eg. jigging rods) have less chance of hitting any overhead obstructions (eg. shade) and the closer the rod tip/line is to your body, the heavier the weight you can comfortably lift (ie. try lifting 5 or 10kg tied to the end of a 7 foot broom, then try to do the same with a 5 foot broom and see the massive difference it makes).
Or to put another way, if you are planning on fishing aggressively and want to get the most out of your 50lb braid and the Saragosa 10000 15kg drag, then think shorter (5 to 6Feet). If you are happy to fish a more comfortable drag around 5kg and use the rod for other types of fishing, then consider the longer rods (6 to 7Feet).

I may already have the perfect rod then. I actually have the MH Terez 30-50lb. I was going to use this with my 4000 0r 5000 reel, however may now look for a new jigging rod instead. Any thoughts on the MH Terez and a 10,000 Gosa?

Sounds good

If it were me, I'd pair the Gosa with the MH and then look for a nice light shorter jigging rod for the 4000 or 5000 reel. That would work for me, personally.
I tried the Terez MH before buying the Terez XH ... I didn't feel a big difference between the two.

The jigging rods are so light and the pulling power comes from the lifting of the parabolic rod, so you don't need/want the bigger reels with them.
