Fisherboy are you talking about throwing a line out from the
main wall at Hillarys near Boy in a Boat?
There are plenty of skippy and herring around that area, as well as lots of rays. I have heard of a Dhuie being caught from the rocks there as well.

Marine Zone
you cannot fish on the reef itself as it is a marine zone. Yellow marker buoys mark the area.

off the rocks is ok to fish
off the rocks is ok to fish off, because you probably wont make the distance to the markers or the reef.

its only a 132m to cast to hit the reef sticking out the water... :D
and 80m to the clossest point of the reef which is underwater...
Google Earthed it :D
