BREAM - The Holy Grail 40cm+

My 2 mates and I tried our luck in this study break this morning (Friday, 1st October) for some bream in the Swan up around Garrett Road and Ascot area.
Using river prawns in the first half hour around 6 bream were caught all ranging from 24-28cm so no monsters but still good fun.
Around 9:30 my rod went off, pulling my rod holder down due to wet, unstable sand, and then dragged my rod a foot across sand to the waters edge before my mate grabbed it.
With an appreciative slap on my mates back I was now fight a very decent fish.
With a good 10 seconds too close too the pylons, Iworked him out after he took a solid 10-15 metres of line.
Saw a nice big flash of bronze out deep. And got him in.

He/She was 43cm and 1.527kg, my pb to date and finally the fishing gods have sent down the holy grail of breamfishing the 40cm+ fish yewh!
My patience finally paying off now just have to move onto lures.

My mate ended up getting a 34cm decent bream that seemed liek and anticlimax after the previous fish :P.

Cheers Duffman

all fish released. This one swam away strongly, probably a old big breeder.
The second best feeling of breaming is the release, a close second to acually catching it.
Cheers
