While coming back in on my last trip to the islands I noticed a crack in one to the pipes on the canopy framework and on closer examination there were a few more. By the time we got back in they were a little more than crack, more like breaks.

So off came the radio tray and cover so I could get the canopy off so Shippy could weld it up again.Out came the grinder to remove the top rail and lattice work, that in my mind was the probable cause of the latest cracks by the extra added weight on to the central frames.

The top rail and lattice was added early in the piece to help stiffen it up and after that the braces from the corners were added along with two short pbits to the top centre bar.

If it doesn't work this time its called "wipe the hands and dump it" going back to fishing in the sun.
