G'day all I am chasing a bit of info from the bottom bashers / jiggers I have been using a saltiga a z30 running pe4 mounted on a xzoga taka 150 pe 2-4 it's 5'9"" long , we'll it was I busted it on a filthy shark I am chasing a replacement and thought I might try something different and am just wondering what a few other people are running or any ideas as some of the brands I have never heard of and there's that many to choose from these days budget around $350 to $400 parabolic action and around the same length .
cheers Carry

I have an zxoga taka ba100-60 with a daiwa saltiga z30 also
I run 40lb braid on it and it has caught its fair fair or large sambo's and some good pinkies lately.
if I was looking for a replacement rod to suit that reel I would be looking at one of the new range daiwa saltist rods. Pe2-4 should be more than strong enough because a z30 reel has MAX 10kg drag (more like 8kg drag)
some of the new saltist hyper rods look the goods

My brother and I built a
My brother and I built a Phenix Megalodon PE 2-4 for his Saltiga Z30 and it's an awesome rig. The blank is a moderate fast action and will still bend into the foregrip under heavy drag but I reckon it's spot on for this outfit as it has that lifting power. Otherwise the fully parabolic Phenix Titan ML will do the trick. I've almost finished building that in spin for my Stella 5000 so haven't fished it yet but I'm confident it will be a sweet rig. It's a tad lighter.
They are worth checking out. I posted a video not long ago with some footage of the Z30 and Megalodon in action.

Good question
Half these rods I've never heard of how good would it be to be able to put your hands on these rods before you buy , up near karratha no chance

Saltiga 60B, rated up to
Saltiga 60B, rated up to PE4, I have a narrow spool saltist lever drag on one and it's a sweet stick. Wanted something parabolic and a bit of grunt down deep, this fits the bill nicely. I know it's out of your price range (unless you get lucky on special as I did) but there should be a Daiwa saltist/catalina model that would be virtually the same.

Looked at a Jigging Master?
Looked at a Jigging Master? You could either buy one of their lower end rods new for that money, or one of their higher end rods second hand.
Been plenty of great condition second hand rods up on here recently, including the Fallings Limited, which is a superb rod.
When asked by a non-fisherman 'how many fishing rods do you really need?' the correct answer is either:
n+1 (where n is the number of fishing rods you currently own); or
n-1 (where n is the number of fishing rods which would cause your significant other to dump you.
