Bronze Whaler

I Fished off one of the northern marina on christams eve eve when it was blowing a 25 knot easterly, Hoping to hook a shark i put out dead mullet under a balloon and floated it about 150m out. Had about 15 litres of burley with me and after burelying up for a few hours hooked and almost landed a bronzie about 1m long, i was lifting him up by the the trace when the bottom crimps slipped releasing the hook and fish.Anyway i sent another mullet out into the ocean and after 2 failed hook ups and consequent resets hooked another shark, much bigger than the first it was about 5 feet long and i reckon it weighed around 35-40kg. Sorry no photos, i was by myself and it was way to big to get out of the water.
