Fished the shore around south perth today, plenty of bream to be found. Landed around 15 fish about 10 were legal, biggest was around 36-37cm. All were caught on bait only the blowies seemed interested in plastics..

nice
Very nice,
How'd u get the big ones? What bait or setup did u use? Mine seem to hover around the 30cm mark. Maybe i'm at the wrong spot? Any idea if hard-bodied lures are any good? I fish on foot as well.

hey des, I use 6 lb fireline
hey des,
I use 6 lb fireline to 12lb flurocarbon leader to a gamakatsu wide gap hook, no sinkers or swivels. Personally i reckon fresh/live baits are best, mussles, little crabs, worms, small fish (get a bait trap) etc... Ive only caught a few bream on lures. HB plastics are pretty popular a lot of people are using baby vibe 35's and ecogear sx40's but theyr pretty expensive for what you actually get.
