Congrats on the win millsy.
Congrats on the win millsy. Since it is ya honeymoon, I'd leave the 4wd behind and do something 'extra special'. Haven't done it myself, but looks pretty bloody good.

If that is not enough, then book a fishing charter. 5 nights is not long, I'd do the above and just chill out by the pool bar and a few walks along cable beach.

4wd broome hire
Gday Millsy, my missus and I were up at Broome over the long weekend. A 4wd may be recommended if you wish to go to Willie Creek Pearls on a self guided tour or fishing up the cape. The coach tour up to willie creek is $90 a person. The road up to Cape Leveque only opened on the sunday of the long weekend. A two wheel drive car _might_ make it, but most of the hire car places have stickers everywhere saying where you can take a 2wd car - eg, not to willie creek or up the cape. And the excess for damaging or getting one stuck would be insane.
Our hire car was a hyundai getz and was tied in to our room costs as a package. $130 bucks a night at the frangipani with the car.
The car was rented from Broome Broome Car hire right next to chicken treat in the middle of town or you have the regular Avis, Hertz etc hire places at the airport.
As for fishing plenty to be done in town that doesnt need a 4wd, and also of plenty of charters. In town there is Reddell Beach and beaches in roebuck bay or the any of the rock outcrops between. Or the town wharf.
Give Mik and Kelly a call at Absolute Ocean Charters, unfortunately our charter was cancelled with other clients pulling out, but it was only early in their season and we were pretty late in organising it as they were on holidays.
Theres Barra creek charters or deep sea/trolling/game fishing. Kayak fishing charters also.
Have a great time, and start saving now. Its bloody expensive - at one point two single serve icecreams cost us $13. Cheapest drinks in town are at the roey with coronas being $5.
