Broome Lures - Baramundi, Threadfin & Mangrove Jack

 Hi all,

Will be targeting the listed species. Mostly off the beach, and some around the mangroves.

What does everyone recommend!

Personally I like using hard bodies and metals.

I was thinking of just using tailor lures for the beach and the threadfin salmon.

Cheers

Bait and vibes worked

Visited Broome years ago and caught threadfin off the main Cable Beach area using a typical beach rig with mulie on a gang of hooks. Run in tides late in the day from memory. Also further south along the coast  had some success in a few creeks I could get to, using a small Vibe minnow.  It was a bit muddy in the water and I think the vibration type lure might help for threadies. So I'd take couple of vibe types for turbid water.  Mangrove jack seemed to take any sort of minnow fished close to rocks or snags, but something that allowed a slow twitching retrieve was my preference. I found that if casting from the shore the jacks would often strike almost at your feet. Maybe they were lurking right on the shore edge structures.

The old green and gold bomber is killer in the creeks, plenty of rattle.
