Had a good day out from Bunbury today with a couple of mates from Perth , ended up out in 55m 43 nmiles offshore and the fish were on, fish of the day 16 kg male dhufish.( looks smaller cause the guy holding it goes 140kg, that he admits to anyway!)

I can answer that as l was
I can answer that as l was on the boat. A bloody long time. It helped being able to do 28knt on the way home. My first time fishing bunbury. Its a barron waste land out there and along way to the 50s.
Was good to find the fish for the miles travelled.
Dhu pics dont do it justice. Big fat fish.

1 km out = 1 meter Deep OFF Bunbury
Once your out about 10 to 15 km it works out about 1 for 1 so 35km = 35meters or there abouts as a guide.

we often fish 42nm out off bunbury and we are in 70m.Depends what direction u go. The 1M per kilometer doesnt quite add up.great bag by the way. Should off got a little bloke to hold the fish but its a good fish for sure.

The
scale damage is from the esky and also a bit of slime off of the King George. We had tried a few bits of ground on the way out but I've only been out from Bunbury a few times and we headed out so far cause id caught nice fish off of it before. What I would say is we fished the ground not any sort of large fish showings. Every time I've been out in close get a few pinks but heaps of undersized dhu's do only the odd size one but at least it looks good for the future . Unfortunately for me my company is moving me to Esperance so will have to start learning all over again.
