Hi All
Went for a crab on the kayak yesterday arvo, with rain and strong NW wind looked perfic weather for crabs.
with a couple pulls i had my limit and was lucky enough to get a very decent size Mudd crab in Bunno!!
which nearly left me with my eyes hanging out of my head.

Nothing new
Going back a few years they were caught as far south as Augusta so its nothing new. Those that get some usually keep quiet about it to stop the mad rush that follows the news getting out.

Not as uncommon as you would
Not as uncommon as you would think. I use to live in Gelorup just outside of Bunbury. MANY storys of mud crabs in the rivers around Bunbury and Collie :)
I love fishing. It`s escaping reality for a few hours for me!

And a few has been caught in the Peel estuary
aswell. Certainly in Kalbarri I caught more than a few, and a beauty on a tailor gang with a mulie. Scared the shiiite out of me when it broke the surface as I initially had no idea what it was.

Moore river
Son was catching heaps of them when they were about last time in the Moore River before someone bothered to look in his boat and see what he was catching them the floodgates opened and every man and his dog were drop netting it.
Much the same went on for big blueys in 2 Rocks marina, I would drop him off with the dinghy when it was a howling gale and huge swell for him to run the drop nets. Would give him about an hour then pick him up with a good feed of big crabs, no doubt it would be the same now.
