Bunbury Wasteland

I'm new to fishing down around bunbury area and so far have had no luck. Seems to be a barren waste land out there.  Can anyone point me in the right direction and restore my hope??

if your landbased

try wyalup rocky-point its next to back beach one carpark (across from a park with cricket nets) from back beach me and my family always go there. youll only catch herring, whiting, skippy and every holidays weve been there banjo sharks. use a ball sinker running rig and use little pieces of squid.

another land based option is, go down to casurina drive it's the point thats ocean side of the estuary. (look it up on google maps). the tailor should start showing up within the next couple of months. go to the first rock groyne and try and fish say 30 m from the rocks if not on the rocks.

and if the beach fails go accross back into the esturay theres a jetty straight accross from the rocks take some heavier gear and stretch ur arms out on a stingray. there in abundance we even caught one in a crab net lol

thats where we go to catch a feed but nothing to brag about any questiong feel free to drop me a pm

The Cut

I was trying some SP's from the platform at the Cut a week ago. Got a just-size tailor that went out as live bait.  Had two good hits, one brief hook-up on that bait but didn't land it.

You could also try the beach out around the other side, I think it's called Buffalo Dve or something.  That always fished well in the past.

Keep trying!

Cheers guys for the tips!!  Barren bay is right.  Will try the the outer markers but there has to be some reef out there somewhere if anyone can atleast point me in the right direction?

I heard there is good fishin 30mile out but that is pushing the limits of my little 5.5m. Is there anything closer in?
