Burke to announce marine parks today

Apparently he will be announcing the parks today...and there is no change to the final draft plan.
Which means Rottnest Trench and Geographe Bay are included, plus the new Two Rocks dive zone.

And if you want proof we are
And if you want proof we are dealing with some absolute cretins...check this out.
"Please see our Live Export Specialist Melissa Smiths brilliant work in uncovering an attempt by government to prevent an investigation into the likely link between live export and an increased shark presence on our coast. Whaling vessels would regularly report shark presence years ago when Australia was a whaling nation.
This should have been carried out prior to the state governments announcement to pre-emptively kill sharks deemed an "imminent threat"

Brilliant? Likely link?
Good grief.

compensation
Tony Burke announced a 100 million compensation package for commercial fishers. Where is the compensation package for rec fishers?

A very good point JR. Rec
A very good point JR. Rec fishers have been locked out, and get nothing back.
The rec fishing industry is worth 10 times the commercial one.

What a load
of shit, compensation for Commercial fishers. When the metro closure was put in place, the FD allowed the Commercial sector to fish in the southern zone and compensated them.
How fair is that, considering the people on the sth coast got their waters Raped, pillaged and plundered.
There will and never is compensation for recreational fishers, only more motivation to get rid of this Extreme sector of our community.

I wonder how long til you
I wonder how long til you realize that its the time to band together and fight united, what do you reckon would make the greenies/PEW happier-having you help them get rid of fishin one sector at a time?
you reckon theyre gonna say "those nice rec boys helped us now we'll help them" or "well we f++cked the pros over whose next"?
your in cloud cuckoo land if you reckon PEW will leave you alone.
Divide and Conquer, and YOU are helpin them. Theres only 2 sides in this battle-which are you on?
Give a man a mask, and he'll show you his true face...
The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.
Everyone's just winging it.

Closures
have affected the whole community, not just the METRO men and women. The whole coast will/maybe effected especially Geographe Bay.
The small craft owners will be the ones who will suffer the most, and quite frankly the small minority that fish the Trench area, need to take a step sideways and realise it's not all about them.
Unity is the only way a resolution is going to be reached.
The next election is where No's in the right direction will help.
Some should think before they post some of the crap on any forum. some of what has been posted on here may have implications towards the good ones on here.

Won't matter who you vote for
Won't matter who you vote for at the next election it's too late people. These zones won't get repealed they'll only expand. Thanks to all the apathetic crowd who couldn't be arsed voicing their concerns at the rally you are going to lose out in the long run. Oh and enjoy your Vanamei prawns.
