Camping & Yabbies/Fishing with family ideas
Hi all,
The kids have just gotten old enough to enjoy camping (2 yrs) and they seem to really enjoy it - as does the dog. Which is excellent for me as I can finally do what I really love again.
The problem is I only know extremely popular spots (Eg. Axelander Bridge), reasonably secluded spots or spots in national parks.
I'm hoping to take the gang out camping over the x-mas break which will likely be hard enough given everyone will have the same idea. So I'm curious to know if anyone has (or knows anyone that has) a private property that would permit camping with kids, dogs and has the ability to either wet a line or hunt some yabbies ? I reckon the kids would absolutely love catching yabbies on a string and I'm thinking a private property would help avoid the crowds - for a fee of course. I've found a few sites that come close, but wanted to throw this question out on the forum before I try to finalise a location.
Keen to hear if anyone has any ideas.
Thanks !
Mulie

We're staying for a week at
We're staying for a week at a property called Ayr Salean near Peaceful Bay on a powered site with our 6 and 4 yo's. I haven't been there, but it looks good. They even do doggy daycare for $15. I think it's about $40 a night.

Check out youcamp or house
Check out youcamp or house sitting sites. Support our farmers with a few dollars to camp in thier back paddock or watch over the place while they have a break.

I'm not sure where you live
I'm not sure where you live but the south coast is big enough you can always find a nook, unfortunately nat parks are a a hassle with dogs but there are still plenty of places you can go...

Getting out of Broome wet
Getting out of Broome wet season for 5 weeks from last week in January and will camp throughout the south west corner possibly as far as Albany. Any tucked away places you would recommend down there Boon. tenting and fully self sufficient cruiser.

Southwest WA is not very good
Southwest WA is not very good for free camping, they only good places are always full. There’s a good place Deepdene Agistment and Farmstay, but you need to call, to see if it’s open and if it is, to make a booking. We’ve been there and it’s a great spot. The number is 0438 905 627. His name is Justin. 10517 Caves Road Deepdene. He was charging $15 per person. Get an app called WikiCamps Australia, very good camping coverage for everywhere.
