From Hutchins and Swainston AKA Rock Flathead. Southern waters of Australia. I used to score the odd one when I was Ab diving in SA--you'd spot one , usually sitting in a little sandy patch among the reef, and kelp--look him straight in the eye as you bring the ab iron around and stab him through the head, and chuck him in the bag

Funny looking head.
Doesn't look like the common bartail. Maybe a rock flathead--don't know proper name but has thicker body and narrower head.

Looks like a tiger flathead or deepwater flathead from my quick research...
Is that weed growing in its eye-lid ? or is that just the shape of it's lid ? Very weird !
