Can you camp overnight at the beach?

 Specifically Preston or Myalup.

 

I read that it may be illegal?

 

Or is it one of those things that people do anyway for a night and it's OK?

 But Ive never had a visit from a ranger at Buffalo in many years of overnight stays. we usually get in behind the dunes to get out of the wind.

 u cant officially camp but u can fish, so as long u have a line in  the water - probs get away with rod in a  holder, u can roll a swag out while goin "all night" etc
