More or less on the other side of the river.
About half way between Deep water point and the Canning bridge there is a small launching area perfect for dinghies.

Point walter is pretty good, one sand ramp (single lane) and one concrete ramp suitable for 2 boats at a time, generally pretty calm and protected from the afternoon sou'wester. Good amounts of parking and $5 for half day.

Better than Mt Pleasant (deep water point) with all the skiiers making waves it can be pretty hecktic retrieving your boat from the ramp!

The ramp at Riverton Bridge

The ramp at Riverton Bridge is technically a 'Canoe Launch Ramp' but you can launch small tinnys there most of the time.

Just keep in mind that security lock the gates to the ramp/carpark in the evenings, generally around 8pm or so.

Also, if the tide is high you may not get a boat under Riverton bridge (just something to be aware of if you head downstream from the ramp).

What a small ramp and kayakers galore!!!

Waters upstream from the ramp are quite shallow and I wouldn't recommend anything bigger than 14ft!

very shallow all around that ramp so keep the leg up for a bit or you will suck a lot of sand.  Gets a little deeper up river but not overly deep only a couple of meters at most

For what it's worth, I took a fish finder in a kayak from Nicolson Road, up river. Found a few 6m spots quite surprisingly.
