Canning River Crab Restrictions

went over the Canning Bridge and there was 4 boats working upstream of the bridge.

Isn't there some kind of restriction after 9AM there?

Or doesn't it get enfoced on weekdays?

there are still areas you can go.

http://www.transport.wa.gov.au/mediaFiles/marine/MAC_G_Boating_CanningCrabbing.pdf

you can crab in the ski area until 9am, then move your pots to the small area on the outskirt of ski area.

there is also an exclusion zone along and just outside the main channel, for rowers up until 9am.

if you wear a purple hat backwards and drive naked on the wrong side of the boat, you can take 5 crabs in that zone, as long as your monkey is called sarah, but only on Thursdays when the moon is waxing gibbous.

Sounds similar to the marron

Sounds similar to the marron restrictions except it's a green hat, you can't boat and you have to wear an eye patch on your right eye

Sounds a bit of a mish-mash!

But for once we can give a government department (DoT) some credit for trying to keep everyone happy....skiers gotta ski, rowers gotta row, and crabbers gotta crab!

Now if someone could just establish a pecking order for spearos and fishos at the fads...

Perth Game Fishing club

Perth Game Fishing club implemented FADs before Recfishwest was invented. Obviously if FADs are implemented under the Recreational Fishing Initiatives Fund

http://recfishwest.org.au/funding-projects/large-grants/

3. Complement the existing FAD program that has been run by the Perth Game Fishing Club for the last 20 years

So there is existing PGFC FADs and Fishing licence FADs

Its more accidents waiting to happen. Still waiting for inshore sunken shipwrecks that anglers aren't excluded from.
