Car Park White Van High End Audio Scam - Beware
My Dad nearly got scammed today.
Was in the woolies car park at Currambine shops when we were approached by two guys in a white Toyota HiAce van tring to sell us some high end audio stuff that they had spare from doing jobs installing them.
Very convincing stuff and they've got a website set up for it all. They were offering us a projector and surround sound for $500-1000 and very nearly got hus.
Luckily Dad went by his motto of 'if it sounds to good to be true......'
Checked it out on the net when I got back in and sure enough

Also, watch out for it on gumtree as some people are trying to sell it on.
If anyone is approached by them then get the rego and call 1300133408.

Got appraoched today same spot... they ran for the hills when I started writing their rego down... strangest thing is its the same rego as one that asked me about 6 months ago

I have had them approach me twice now and never bought anything but even though it's cheap crap some people have reported that it works fine. Makes you wander for the price it may be worth giving it a go. And no I don't own a white van haha.

they aproached me b4,a couple of months ago in forrestfield while sitting eating my kfc and asked if i was intrested in a set of surround sound speakers,to which i replied not intrested,and they took of straight away in a white van aswel..

I reckon I saw the cops had a van fit this description pulled over by 2 4x4 marked cops today at the whitfords Marmion intersection. 2 blokes wearing hi-vis tshirts. They had them pulled over for more than hour and a half
